The Technopole covers 50 hectares (125 acres) and boasts 135,000 square metres (1.5 million square feet) of office accommodation, R&D laboratories and training facilities.
At the beginning of 2006, the Technopole was home to 185 businesses and training / research organisations (56% French - 44% foreign) generating approximately 1700 jobs.
A steady growth spanning less than twenty years :
- 1989 : Inauguration of the first building.
1991 : Inauguration of the University and Research Centre.
1999 : Celebration of Archamps’ 10th birthday with 90 companies and 5 training and research organisations.
2002 : Technopole accredition from « France Technopole Innovation » (today RETIS) 2003 : Extension of the University and Research Centre .
2004 : Inauguration of the Convention Centre (23 halls, rooms and lecture theatres catering for groups of 5 to 500) and the Best Western 3-star hotel.
2005 : Inauguration of the Enterprise and Business Centre.
2006 : Launch of a 20-hectare (50-acre) extension of the Technopole . Launch of construction work on the BioPARK.
